The Stok Palace Heritage Hotel is a unique opportunity to stay in the palace built in 1820 where the Ladakhi royal family (the Namgyal dynasty) still lives. The palace is located in the village of Stok, 16 kilometres from Leh. The palace is built atop a hill and it offers stunning views of the Indus valley and the surrounding natural landscape. Six exquisitely restored heritage rooms with en-suite bathrooms are available for guests in the palace building. There are four Standard Suite Rooms, The Royal Suite and The Queen’s Room whose walls are decorated with 200-year-old murals. The Stok Palace Heritage Hotel is open from mid-May to mid-October.
