Great hotel to stay in Kargil
We spent a night at Royal Gasho in August during our tour of Ladakh from Leh to Srinagar. Our group consisted of 5 persons. The hotel stay was pleasant. The rooms were tidy, roomy, and well-lit with good ventilation. Continuous hot water was available in the room. The hotel staff was supportive. While the food options were limited and basic, they were quite tasty. It's a great place to stay if you're taking a break in Kargil on your way to Srinagar.

Pleasant stay at Royal Gasho Hotel
Located close to the Indus River on the main Kargil-Srinagar road, this hotel may not provide stunning views from every room. Consider choosing rooms just above the restaurant for a better experience. The food was enjoyable, and the staff was both helpful and polite. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained. This hotel is a suitable choice for a stay in Kargil.

One of the best hotels in Kargil
We spent a night here during our journey from Leh to Srinagar. The hotel rooms were tidy and remarkably spacious. While the bathrooms were clean, one of our friend's room had an issue with the bathroom flooring, but since our stay was just for one night, it was acceptable. There was hot water available in the morning in the bathrooms. The staff was polite, and the dinner served was delightful. Upon our request, they prepared chicken for us. In the morning, as we were heading to Srinagar, the kitchen staff kindly packed sandwiches for our journey. Overall, a pleasant one-night stay in Kargil.

A good option for Kargil
During our journey from Leh to Srinagar, we spent a night in Kargil. The hotel is relatively new, and while the room amenities are basic, they are satisfactory. The restaurant serves tasty Indian food. A significant advantage is the hotel staff. Faced with communication challenges and lack of internet at the time, the front desk boy generously offered his mobile phone without asking for money, allowing us to successfully contact our family in Europe. If I find myself staying in Kargil again, I will definitely choose the Royal Gasho hotel!
