Lovely family-run hotel

This hotel is family-run, with Mr. Phuni and his parents extending a warm welcome. We stayed in a spacious, tidy, and wonderfully scenic room for a delightful 3-day visit. The hotel is situated in a fantastic area with lovely flowers adorning the grounds. The staff were quick to respond, polite, and incredibly helpful. The restaurant offers delicious, high-quality meals, mainly consisting of organically grown vegetables from the family. The restaurant team was thoughtful, guiding us through meal inquiries and presenting a diverse range of options. Conveniently, the hotel is within walking distance of the main market. Our stay was enjoyable, and we felt secure and at ease throughout. I highly recommend this hotel for your accommodation.

Omasila: a good hotel in Leh

A good hotel in Leh, boasting exceptional hospitality. The staff is incredibly courteous and accommodating. Mr. Punni, the owner, and his family are remarkably helpful. When one of our group members experienced altitude sickness, Mr. Punni personally took him to the hospital at midnight in his own car. Thankfully, the individual recovered afterward. Mr. Punni's father is an outstanding gentleman who personally ensures the comfort of every guest. A humble individual with commendable work ethics, he bid us farewell with a traditional scarf at 5 am in the chilly morning. It's gestures like these that will undoubtedly bring us back to Omasila. The hotel rooms offer a view of serene beauty, and the food quality is excellent. Our stay was truly enjoyable, and I highly recommend Hotel Omasila for anyone planning a stay in Leh. Thank you.

Cozy stay at Hotel Omasila

Cozy, Simple, Comfortable, Welcoming: if you're seeking a place with these qualities, your search ends here. Just a week before our trip, we experienced stays at 5-star hotels in Thailand. Interestingly, I found this simple property to be more welcoming and warm compared to those highly rated establishments. Throughout our Ladakh tour, our group of 4 intermittently stayed in this property, conveniently located a short walk from the Leh Market. Easily reachable by private cars and taxis, it offers slightly slow but functional internet in the rooms. The staff is exceptionally warm and friendly, complemented by an impressive kitchen team and dining facility, along with a vibrant colorful garden.
The rooms are snug, adequately furnished with clean linen. The bathroom provides hot and cold water throughout the day. Simple amenities are available, and amidst nature, that's all you really need. A special mention goes to Mr. Prasad, the Kitchen Manager, whose service level is exceptional; he could easily fit into a similar role in a top-notch property in a bustling tourist location. Hemu and Malati are also highly guest-focused, promptly attending to any requests for services or amenities. For the days/nights away in other Ladakh destinations, there's a convenient luggage storage facility. The owners' close involvement in the property's management likely contributes to the consistently high-quality service.
