Typical client reviews

The staff really make an effort to satisfy guests

This place was a bit underwhelming when compared to its Thiksey counterpart. The tents weren't as elegant or roomy; the grounds weren't as well-maintained; the staff appeared less seasoned, and so forth. Despite these factors, the experience was good due to their dedication to customer satisfaction.

Semi-luxurious glamping in a stunning setting

This camp is affiliated with the more upscale Chamba Camp in Thiksey. Unlike Thiksey's high-end glamping tents imported from South Africa, the tents here in Diskit are simpler, brought in from Kenya. So, you get an authentic tent vibe instead of wooden floors, yet you still have amenities like an attached bathroom and temperature control. However, the water heater here has a somewhat limited capacity, requiring about 30 minutes of waiting between showers. Service is attentive, and the staff, though not as well-trained as those in the camp at Thiksey, are quite friendly.
While this camp may lack in luxury and service standards, it compensates with its incredible location. Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Nubra Valley, surrounded by the steep, rocky slopes of mountains, it offers a unique experience. We explored a few other camps in Nubra Valley, but currently, Chamba Camp stands out as the most luxurious, despite being simpler than its sister camp near Leh. A highlight of our Leh trip was the drive from Nubra Valley to Leh, passing through the stunning Khardung La pass. Don't miss this drive; allocate a whole day to stop along the way and relish one of the most beautiful places globally.

Two nights at Chamba Camp Diskit, Nubra Valley

The camp was comfortable, but a few areas could really be improved. During our 3-day stay, we found the camp lacking in activities. It would have been great if they could have suggested or organized something, like a special couples dinner for added charm. The tents tended to heat up quickly, and it was challenging to partially open the tent flaps. Moreover, having snacks available at the camp is essential. The gap between meals is considerable, and having some munchies during the day would be a nice addition. The food and beverage offerings could also be improved.

Chamba Camp Diskit

Good place, good food, good location near the main tourist attractions of the Nubra Valley. However, this camp is not really a luxury camp, except for the price... I would not recommend this place because I think there are better and cheaper options nearby.
